Hi everybody,
I have a 7610 since a week and found it wonderful until yesterday:
"I am unable to unlock the keypad!!!"
Its' crazy! i only use Nokia phones since 4-5 years. I previously had 3310, 3410, 6610, 6600 and now a 7610. I am used to nokia, but i have never seen a weird problem like this:
When i power up the phone it lock immediately its keypad by itself. When i try to press "unlock" then "*", the phone don't react to the "*" key!
I have check under the keypad to see if there was dust, water or something. But i have found the keypad contacts and everything else in the phone is fully clean.
So, because the * key don't work, i cannot do a master reset with the "green" + "3" + "*" trick. I have test it and nothin happen!! It's crazy.
Did someone ever seen this problem? Does anyone have an idea to reset the phone or unlock the keypad via a computer? It'll piss me off to send it to Nokia because they don't offer support for the 7610 here in Canada. I'll have to send it to the states...

I have exactly the same problem!! can you please email me [email][email protected][/email] if you find a resolution to the problem?
I know this is possibly very basic, but do you think it has anything to do with the security autolock function?

were you able to fix that problem? do you know what is wrong with the phone?
i'm having the same problem with my 6600?

I've experienced it already try to re flash the mobile unit. Hope it help more power to this forum
