Hi, I've just bought a ngage qd, I'm very happy, but I've a problem.
When I lissen mp3, or the sound of videogames (for example Tomb Raidar that hasn't a soundtrack) I can lissen noise under the sounds and also when there is no sound in games or music. This noise is present also with the phones and has the some volume even if i change the volume of games/mp3.
When I see film with smartmovie I don't have this problem.
This is only a my problem or all ngage qd have this problem?
What can I do?

Problem with sounds on ngage qd
I have the same problem. There is a background noise whenever the speaker is activated on my N-gage QD. I don't notice it so much through the speaker, but it's quite annoying in the headset. The noise doesn't seem to get so much lower, when I lower the volume.
ths is not d problem wid ur fon but ur mp3 software wich u have installed...as computer do mp3 we install in our fon shares some memory wid our fon flash memory...tht is read only memory.......n sometimes there r chances tht it fukks up ur amplification...so it is a bug if u r using ultramp3....4 ur qd i wud like 2 suggest u 'gomp3' software whos amplification is d best.....n plz b careful tht don keep ur qd near musicsystem speakers or tvs or monitors as ultramicro waves can affect ur qd speaker.....
But the background noise is in games too. More in some and less in others.
I think it's just how the n-gage is.
I noticed that when I loaded up THPS in my QD the first time. There is static noise while the game is first loading, then it drops when the game is loaded.
I haven't ever used the headphones for gaming; but my mono handsfree (from N3650) gets some background static during conversations. Usually.

Could be. I don't think it's any use to send my N-gage in. I don't notice the noise so much when I'm talking in the phone. Would be interesting to hear from more QD owners.

I got the same noise in my qd... i'd very like to get ridlle of it but if all qd users has this problem, it will probably be something that it can't be "turned off".
I use headsets all the time....never noticed any noise other than the game music and sound....

Ok, what firmware have u got? I got 4.0.
