I got a little problem about installing downloaded file/apps, because sometimes I just saw "file unknown format" on my 6600. And could I downloaded zip file for win app and sent it to my pc and also extracted it with my 6600

At least I have hard time understanding your description.

Anyway, only files ending with .sis or .jar are installable applications.

The former are so called "native" Symbian operating system apps written originall using the C++ programming language, the latter are so called "midlets" written in the Java language. Or they all should be, if they are to be installed. 😉

If its unkown, then there is no application on the phone that recognises the file. If its a zip file, you may need to unzip on the pc before transferring to the phone, or install a zipman on the phone. Regarding other file types like mpeg's, ensure you have a mpeg player etc.

Hope that helps
