6600 won't boot up this morning

Hi all,

Last night i left my 6600 as i normally do, with the alarm set. This morning when the alarm went off i noticed the phone had turned itself off in the night (when the alarm went off the screen was plain white with the alarm text).

I pressed snooze a couple of times and then the alarm didn't sound again, now when I try and turn the phone on, it lights up (screen + keys) for about 3 seconds and then turns off. I've taken the SIM and MMC out but still no joy. Battery is pretty full, but it won't even charge up.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Well I don't know why it's doing that but if you format your phone, it might help. Hopefully you have backups? Here's instructions how to format it. Of course you can also give it to your local nokia service for repair.

As said above, you will have to do a format, and count yourself lucky you have a 6600 and not an n gage, where this problem is common (wsod-white screen of death).

😊

no luck, the phone doesn't stay on long enough to get to the formatting screen :frown: off to the service centre tomrrow, i think...
