Assign functions to navigation (joystick) keys

3.-> No. Organise your menu so that you can use the number keys to act as short cuts.

So isnt anyone else getting the same problem with their ringtones stored on the card?
go into the ringtones and select any of the .amr files with the card icon next to it.
on mine, the quality is very poor, and playback pauses briefly every few seconds.

does anyone know of any applications that can assign functions (eg. write new text message, calendar etc.) to the navigation (joystick) keys.

Yes - if they are MPS's, it a know problem with stereo MP3's try re-encoding them to mono.
Also if you use a cheap MMC some are slower than others.. apparently.

I also get same problem with my 6600 phone. There is not short cut function at standby model, but I heard Psiloc Task Manager can set function to that. I have not tried yet.

i have use task manger in nokia 660 but it slow down the set
gallery which took 2-3 sec took 15-20 sec when task manger is active
rest it is very nice application
it must inbult.
