In my own opinion, here are the reasons:
1. 6600 got everything what we need in this generation.
2. Video cam corder that can be easily expanded its recording length using high capacity mmc.
3. You can bring your MP3s anywhere.
4. DIgital camera with possibility to increase its quality using 3rd party softwares. 5. Themes that sets your mood.
6. MMC is kinda standard unlike the special mmc card of 7610
7. With its low size images (32kb approx), you can instantly forward this photos to other phones that do not have an extra memory (by default 7610 has 250kb-300++kb images)
8. Did you know that 7610 has slow GPRS connection speed compare to 6600? Yup this is a fact. The poor 7610 has only 40.3kbps (GPRS) while our 6600 has a "high speed data up to 43.2 kbps" - i quote from nokia website
9. 7610 has no fax unlike 6600.
Lastly my number 10, 7610 does not have an INFRARED DEVICE!!! Which means that you can no longer control your TV sets, VCD, AIRCONS and other gadgets in this generation that has an infrared device!!
6600 is still the best in this generation.
I wouldnt say it is the best,but i do agree about the 7610,they have removed quite a few things that i use regularly and all they seemed to have added is a megapixel camera!!!!!!!!! Which is crap compared to my 5 mp digital camera (obviously) so it makes no odds to me!
It is too much of a limited arguement - one nokia against another, you should expand to SX1 and Sendo X at least. These are at least comparitive products. Not that I want to go down that road cos its an arguement that started last year.
7610 is IMHO the best looking NOKIA ever. Sleek desgin and fuctionality sets it apart from SX1 and other SYMBIAN NOKIA's....
Now, if it only had STEREO support.........
Wait a minute, only the US released 6620 has that.
Basically STEREO is the only thing that makes 6620 (but not 6600 which is MONO) better than 7610.
6620 is an EDGE device but that still wouldn't make the sale for me, so far that feature is useless since the data rates are so high and the unlimited data plans
hover around $25 a month extra...
I know, I know 6620 has a better CPU and Symbian OS7...

Y do u think, Megapixel phone can't compare with de VGA phone?

I have used both of them n I realise that 7610 have more features and functionality that VGA can't compare it. Even u just take alook at the shape, u immediatly see that 7610 is more compact compare to 6600. The 10mins of video recording is much even better.......

but if i will compare the nokia 7610 to a person, it just like it is a person that has no hands!! It has no infrared that can control your aircon..television sets...vcd player and all infrared devices available today.
I haven't seen a tv that uses bluetooth as their remote control or a vcd player. think of that. 😃
Yes but who uses a remote from 3inches from their set? Kind of defeats the object 😃
But I use infrared for connecting my psion to the net, so IR is important to me.

If you are talking about the range from a 6600 to the tv for example,i can happily tell you that my phone to a Sony tv is about 8ft which to me is plenty.
The range does decrease for cheaper makes of equipment but that just serves to prove that its the equipment not the 6600.
I didnt know until now that the 7610 didnt have ir,and i dont use it that much on my 6600 but its nice to know that i can!
Im not slating the 7610 at all as i did really want one,but it seems so much has been taken out!!!

just take both the set in hand and u fell the difference
Oh yeah,coz how a phone feels is the best way to check which is best.
My old 8310 feels better than my 6600,i think i will start making themes for it,and use Real tones and the games are so much better!
