Hey all, I bought this phone last week and so far I love it. The only gripe I have is that when I try to browse it in Windows Explorer, my CPU utilization goes to 100% for a few minutes. This makes browsing the phone to transfer ringtones or pictures almost impossible. I installed the latest drivers for the DKU-2 USB cable and version 6.3 of the PC Suite from Nokia's site but those haven't helped at all. Anyone know what can be done about this?
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem. It occurs with USB cable, Bluetooth and even when the phone is disconnected! Only Nokia Phone Browser is affected, the other apps are fine.
I think the explorer integration is dodgy. Part of the problem appears to be that the 'base priority' of the explorer process is set to high as soon as Phone Browser is started. If you change it to 'BelowNormal' in Windows Task Manager, you can browse properly.
Be nice to get a proper fix cos some people have it working OK...
I changed the priority to normal and was able to browse smoothly. Thanks for telling me about that little hack. I really hope Nokia gets off their asses and fixes something that's so debilitating to the phone's use......
K, that works, however how can i set that process to start with a normal or low priority, everytime it starts? It seems to start and run as an explorer process, so i wonder how we can set it up to run as a normal priority process always?
