Crazy Thing happened to 7610, has it happened to you? — Nokia 7610 and 6670

I am not sure of this works on all 7610 phones or just mine, I would love to no if it happens to all phones. Anyway here it is,

AT 1:12am this morning i was mucking around on the phone just watching some late night jerry springer when whilst the phone was locked i nortices that if I pressed the 0 then the 8 they both appeared on the screen with just a cancel in the bottom right hand corner.

I thought this was might strange as usually when you press keys whilst the phone is locked it says Press unlock then #.

I couldn't understand why 08 appeared on the screen so i pressed all the opther buttons to find out, and the one that worked was the call button, and the phone started to ring. SO i put the phone to my ear and it was the emergeny services line, I said sorry, it was a misstajke and hanged up.

I think this is strange since in my country emergency services line is 111 not 08. very starnge,

Does this work on everyone elses phone? not asking to to press call or anything but does the 08 appear in lock mode?

yeah - does on mine - 999 also works - which is the emergency number in my country.
Perhaps all the emergency numbers work this way..

you can see your phone dails evn its locked, keypad lock or even if don't have sim card.
112 ,08 , 999 these are some emg numbers.

same thing happens on my 7610, 112 and 911 and 999 and 08 all work
but in my country (New Zealand) the number for emergency is 111 and that doesnt work on my 7610
although the reason would partly be due to the fact that i bought my fone from hong kong, but still, a little unhappy that my emergency code doesnt work.

but its just new zealand, who cares about new zealand, that would mean putting an extra entry JUST for new zealand.

oh well...........

My Australian 7610 has 112, 08, 999, 911 and 000 as emergency numbers.

Its so that you don't waste the few seconds of precious time! LOL 😃
