I have tryed putting the card in another 6230 but to no success i have aslo put it into a card reader to see if i can read it and again i can't see it! it just hangs the card reader.
i have been reading your forum to see if anything on her will work but i can't seem to get the Fexplorer to work on my phone assume it not supported!
i would very much so like to retrieve the data on th card has any one been able to do a unlock MMC on a 6230 and if so how was it achieved!
I am not brilliant at doing this kind of stuff so if anyone can help a step by step guide to go with it would be really apperciated aswell
thank you for taking the time and i hope that you will be able to solve my problem!
could try formatting in a digi camera if you have access to one.
I did not want to lose the information on the card by formatting it!
Any one know how you can unlock a mmc card that is barred with a password. Basically i never set a password on the mmc card but it ended up asking for a password ne way while i was listening to music on the phone

none of these mentioned ideas work for unlocking my MMC on 6230....anything else please....
Guys the 6230 isn't Symbian, so you can't install seleq on it. You'll have to get a Symbian based phone, install Seleq or FExplorer and then follow Airbilly's tutorial on how to read the MMC password. I've tried it on my N-Gage and it works fine.

sorry 4 my english
i hope everybody understand what i mean by
If the phone is reformatted, then the mmcstore file is gone and unrecoverable.
If you have both forgotten the password and lost the mmcstore file, then for any practical and economically viable purposes, the card is wasted.
hey guys pls help me by saying which software is used for unlocking the memory card from the computer(i mean to format from the computer not from mobile) please helpppppppppppppppp
Plz someone help. Ive got probably the same probs as the others on here, ive got a 1GB kingston mmc card, i changed the battery yesterday and the card (which has a adapter-like snap-on half joined on to it) fell out. I replaced it and it wanted a password ! It seems to have shrunk the size also... it was 1GB, but now - in the memory options - it has the size listed as 0KB ! Is it just like that all the way up to the equivalent of 1GB but in KB ? It wasnt before, thats why im curious.
Thanks for any help or comments received.
