Hi folks,
I am experiencing a series of probs with my 3660!
This seems to have started when I loaded HEXACO Tennis into it. After installation it seemed to work fine for a while then suddenly after few minutes or so I noticed that my JOYSTICK stopped working.
Now I was stuck up I could only access the Menu items from 1-9 if I dont use the Joystick and thus could not access APP Manager to uninstall the application.
So what I did first was took out a back up of my phone and then used the format code given here on the site.
After doing same the JOYSTICK still does not seem to work and also getting loads of system errors as the phone has been reset. I did format a couple of times and sometimes when the phone starts up sumting like "APP MAILLINIT Closed" shoots up and phone again shows system errors if I tr to access the menu.
Although I can make and receive calls there is no way the joystick works and neither I can access the menu items.
PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW???? 😡 :con?

My 3660 also gone mad. The phone doesn't gives any sound or vibration when I receive messages, but the vibration works with games, ie. And I have sound when I receive phone calls. Also, if I turn off the phone, when I turn it on again I start receiving lots of message reports (that I have sent ages ago!!!) and error messages, like Main ap. closed!
If somebody could help, I would appreciate!

try don't save the ringtone in memory card, and save in phone memory. u can feel the different.....

Well I solved my problems! Wanna Know how?
I juzz disposed the 3660 😃
The problem I found out was that the Hexaco tennis somehow currupted my MMC. Since the MMC got currupted the phone started to work fine without it and I could have just replaced the MMC with a new one.
BUT WHAT DID I DECIDE TO DO?
I juzz upgraded to 6600 😃 And man I guezz I shud have got it in the first place 🙄 Since I was kinda bored with 3660 and also it was givin me alot of troubles and keeping even vibrator on at all time was frustrating so i decided to juzz change!
N e how am happy with 6600 and wish u guys luck 2 😊

Good for you man. What people would normally do is just format the mmc and the phone if its doesnt mean taking it to a nokia service center to have its firmware upgraded.

Well I took the phone to the NSC and they were first baffled thmeselves what was wrong with the phone then when they changed the MMC it started working fine. So they decided to format my MMC and the guy got a communicator (9210) and he could not format and also the 9210 hanged when he started with my MMC 😮 So they said the MMC is currupted.
So they couldnt format my MMC at all so they said get a new MMC but what I do i go and get a 6600 😎
Any how am happy now Blew a 100 bucks extra but atleast got a reliable fone with better firmware and support (Fingers crossed) :tongue:

Nope the mmc was fine, I just got my 3660 and have had alot of problems with software compatabiity, and have used the *#7370#* 15-20 times and if you have installed apps or anything to the card, when you reboot the phone all the apps you installed on the card try to start but must rely on files stored in the internal mem (which were erased by the reset code) and thus cause tons of errors and maybe even a non working phone, I just popped the mmc into my usb reader and whacked out the e:\system\ dir and then the phone works fine try this with your "corrupt" card and it should work,
It seems like the 3660 must be different enough that many apps wornt run on it, above and beyond the difference in colors
