I am using Psiloc's miniGPS V1.37 (the actual version) on my QD (Firmware V3.15) and, as far as I could find out, it works properly.

fijaz_ wrote:and which ones dont work,

I had troubles with V1.36 of miniGPS. So, I think it is a good idea to check out a trial version before purchasing a software. (Psiloc and many other companies are offering trial versions for their software.)

I think 'Aspicore GSM Tracker' could be what you are looking for.

No idea.

You can assign a picture to a contact.

Thank God, it's classic talking. That is, the speaker is on the display-side of the phone.

Tracking number's by cells is very clumsy and you can only track someone down to within a mile or two.

Streets or areas require GPS, tracking by cells is just not accurate enough to get even a road like you said, because cells overlap so that signal is constant, which means you get strange readings that can be up to 4 miles off !

thnx for answering my questions.... can u tell me how much is a good bluetooth gps is...i bet it is expensive but let me know good prices....

- and does minigps by psiloc require gps receiver???

- i found this software cellspotting, they say that it can be done without the gps...i was wondering if it worked for canada n how exactly does it work...

- my calling card question is on above posts.....

- i have 3 games that i bought from electronic boutique..... i was wondering can i put them all in one big mmc so i dont have to keep switching the cards and dont have to carry all of them around......

thnx.....

btw this forum is very informative

MiniGPS does not need GPS.

No, you cannot put 3 games on one MMC, there's an encryption placed on the games. 😊

The other questions, well I dunno :P

As already answered by the preceding post, miniGPS does not require a GPS receiver. (Furthermore, it doesn't support one.) In inner city areas, I find miniGPS very useful because there are a lot of cells so that the positioning is quite accurate. For example, when I leave my office, I can trigger an alarm before I reach the station of the underground, which is 100m away. I guess that the positioning is less accurate in less urban areas.

It seems that they are using the cell id for positioning just like miniGPS. Therefore, the accuracy of the positioning should be the same as with miniGPS.

This question raises a technical issue and a legal one. I think you should ask one of the moderators to find out what the current state of the discussion is.

There is no legal issue regarding this itself.... because law states it is allowed for personal use to make personal copies of games for archive in case original media is damaged.

BUT - with the n-gage games it is not possible, encryption on the read only mmc cards bought at stores with the games on them means that they cannot be copied. So, no, you cannot make personal copies of games 😊
