Maybe that happens because only mobile numbers (or people with mobile numbers) show up. Or maybe all your contacts are on the sim...
Yeah, the mobile phone number has to be entered as a mobile phone number within the contact in order for it to show up in the SMS list. It's SO easy to miss!
