Hi everybody.
This is my first post to the forum.
The Ngage Classic has an extra hardware for playing mp3 files which gives an output of 44.1 Khz. However the bundled Mp3 player software with it is pretty sad. It has very basic features.
Correct me if I'm wrong but other third party Mp3 player softwares (like mp3go, Ultramp3 etc.) use the cellphone's processor to produce output which is just 16 Khz.
My question is : Is there any other Mp3 player software which uses the Ngage mp3 player hardware and not the phone processor (By that way, giving an output of 44.1 Khz)?
If not, is nokia working on creating a better version of the bundled Mp3 player?
Please discuss on this topic.

No, unfortunately not.
Btw, welcome to the forum.
well someone better start working on one. I'm getting sick of breadslicing my 2hr sets because I can't fast forward and rewind.
Aparently, the APIs which make use of the MP3 hardware are not public so its very unlikely that there will be a third party with the same quality as the oroginal.

The other progs... like UltraMP3.. output in mono too, don't they?
Looks like Nokia have a bit of a monopoly here, forcing us to use their feature-lacking and error prone bundled player
Surely there's someone here who's smart enough to fix the issue?
