If you have been considering getting a 7650 and not sure or waiting fot the P800 and you are ready to renew your contract then I have found a good deal in the UK
http://tiscali.themobilerepublic.com/viewphone.asp?pcode=nok7650&did=308&de=1
a free 7650 when you sign up for a year the monthly rental is 75 pounds a month which you may think high but if like me you use your mobile a lot, my monthly bill is around 80 quid anyway. This contract is for unlimited calls!!
I must say this dont look half bad. My bill is always arround the 100 mark, i presume that txt and mms are charged at the standard rate?
Ashby
Line Rental 75.00 per month
Itemised Billing 0.00
Free Minutes Unlimited
Free Text Messages 0
Daytime (peak) Monday - Friday 07.00-19.00
Evening (off peak) all other times
Weekend (off peak) Midnight Friday - Midnight Sunday
Not at all bad, but be careful before signing up. No mention of GPRS and will data calls be included in the free minutes? At 75, I should hope so - but I doubt it.

75 is alot but I end up paying more, not through phone call though, data, grps ect.
You can get 10MB GPRS from Orange for 4, but you have to ask for that specific access pack.

I've been onto Orange about this and they deny any such offer. The best you'll get for 4/month is 0.5Meg. Any data over that limit is charged at a whopping 8 per Megabyte!!!!
The 10Mb for 4 is actually right - honest!
The only gotcha is that it's WAP only, so you can't use your POP3 client (for instance), but still a good deal if you ask me.
Maybe the person I spoke to just didn't know about it. They told me that it was impossible to browse the internet with the phone and argued with me when I told them that I can do it.
For those on Orange, have you seen the new "Create Your Own Talkplan" ?
http://www.orange.co.uk/service_plans/pay_monthly/your_plan/
Perhaps the GPRS option in there is the one you're talking about.
Guys,
The 4 for 10MB of GPRS is genuine, I first read about it in another post on this site. When you phone Orange, you have to ask for the GPRS Access Pack, the woman I spoke to didn't know anything about it either, but she went away and checked she came back and I was offered it.
I think they must be doing a price match or something, which is why they don't know about it at first.
It is also mentioned on their wap site now, yes it is available,I got my access pack on the 19th Sep, the day it was released.
After reading the above post I got on to Orange CS to get GPRS activated.
The CS lady had no idea about the GPRS access pack as they haven't trained their staff at the call centre about it so she was clueless, so I asked her to look at the web site, after 5 mins on hold she confirmed that you can get 10Mb for 4 per month but you have to change tariff to a 'Your Plan' tariff, so I changed my O2 50 OVP to Your Plan 60, with Text 30, which will now cost me 1 extra a month then 4 for the GPRS, not too bad
02 50 = 18 pm plus 99p itemised billing
Your Plan 60 = 19, Text 30 = 2, itemised billing free.
From uk.telecom.mobile it looks like the GPRS is only for WAP and nothing else, so you can't surf the web using a PDA/Laptop etc bit of a bummer but lets see how GPRS performs with WAP for now.
Does anyone know if I can use the GPRS service to send MMS? as the 7650 has the option. Will Orange charge me for send the Photo message or will it come out of my GPRS allowance (if I use the normal GPRS packages) ?
Thanks all
Pug

you can get the same on Orange only you get 400 anytime mins, no text tho :/

plus you're only tied to 35 a month for the first 4 of your contract, so after that you could pay only 12.99 a month. So you'd get the phone, 12 months line rental, 1600+ anytime mins and orange care for just over 300!!!
