Please help me to set clock alarm in 7610 so that it automatically repeats daily, Is there any programme for this. This option is there in 9210i
HOW TO GET "REPEAT DAILY" OPTION TO SET CLOCK ALARM
I've been wondering about this.....
The other thing is the inability to enter a birthday in the calendar, you can enter an anniversary. I want the feature on the 8210 (and others) where you specified the year of birth and it gave you the age of the person......any ideas where this has gone? minor I know but useful none-the-less.
Sorry, but I don't think there is one. It could easily be added on a later firmware upgrade - but who knows if it's even something they are considering.
It's an option I would find useful too. Also the ability to set multiple alarms would be handy - and fixing the problem with the snooze function (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't) would be a big bonus. 😃
Prawntoast 😊
there is a birhday function. it's in contacts
just go into contacts,
then select someones name and open,
then edit,
then options and add detail, go up and it says birthday.
it's a bit rubbish though as i know people who don't have their own numbers that i would like to put birthdays in for. :icon14:
Anybody have a software recommendation that adds this functionality?

If u simple want to REPEAT the alarm daily
well wht i use is in built calender
just go in the calender just slect the reminder and repeat it daily for a month. and after month same again
the alarm will be daily at the time u have set.
Thanks Vicky! That sounds like a decent work around. I am finding that it seems like these kind of basic functionalty software is just not avalible for Symbian as compared to the Palm platform. I wonder why that is.
Can you sugest me how to add a reminder in 7610. I can only add the meeting, memo and anniversary. :con?
Meeting is a type of Reminder.
Just go in calender NEW ENTRY->MEETING-> PUT SUBJECT-> Start date -> Make alarm on-> Repeat -> daily-> Repeat until-> The date till u want
It is pretty poor of Nokia though, to leave out something so basic as a decent alarm. Vicky, thats a good way to go around but it shouldn't have to be the way. I'd have to set that up week by week for the whole year. I get up at 7am in the week but no way am I having an alarm go off at 7 at the weekend. At the moment I'm setting the alarm before I go bed. Bit of a game but it'll have to do until I get a specific piece of software.
I agree with you Jazz, though I don't think Nokia per se should've added this but some 3rd party should've developed this for S60 long ago. I just tried this work around today and discovered its got some problems. I mean, its pretty ridiculous to have to add 3 daily appointment entries to my outlook calendar (it gets added when I sync) and have to deal with the free/busy problems. Not to mention that all the people I share my calendar with, (my secretary and some office mates) would've had daily appointments for me taking my medicine if I didn't catch it. Guess the alarms will have to stay on my Palm which has numerous programs for repeating alarms. Thanks for the help though Vicky!
look for the program call stools or system tools, you can set the alarm anyway you want.
