Query device specific UID?

Hi,

Does Symbian provide a method with which an app can query the device's specific UID? (e.g. Nokia 3650 is 0x101F7962) Basically, I want my app to be able to determine which hardware its beeing run on - "Nokia 3650", "Nokia 9210", etc. Is this possible? Either a UID, or some sort of ID string would be useful.

I know the pkg/sis file can contain a list of device UIDs that the apps supports - but was wondering if the app can also do this at run-time.

Replying to myslef, in case others are interested. I found the following, and it seems to work:

#include <hal.h> // also link to hal.lib

TInt mUid = 0;
HAL::Get(HALData::EMachineUid, mUid);
