New Firmware impossible to Install

have you made sure you downloaded the correct s/w because if you download and try to install an uncompatible version it just wont work.
Check the sales pack against the one mentioned on the sendo websites download section and make sure it matches.
The sales pack is usually list on the label behind the phone (when battery is removed) on the 3rd line.

and i have downloaded the "Spanish 8Y0H-02171-0X00 v1.56.2.2"

Have you installed the drivers, these are different drivers for the firmware than the pc connect drivers

I have unistalled everything before the sendo update. And when i connect the phone and windows asks for the usb driver for the phone, i install the one that comes with the Sendo Update.

Plus your current s/w is VERY old, where did you buy the phone from?

from an official shop from Movistar (the Spanish carrier that is the only one that sell the sendo X in spain).

PS: Other users... you might want to log things this way too. ONE item per log however, for ease of progress...

i also think his version is too old for the current firmware update.

is there no chance to make an old update to catch a version that is able to be updated with the last firmware?

Right! Got the answer. Your version (02170) is for Telefonica. They have not approved the firmware yet, so it is not available for release. When they say "OK", it will be on the download page.

I have called the Movistar shop where i bought it yesterday (Movistar is the mobile label from Telefonica) and they have told me that they can do nothing. They say that the phone works and they can�t return my phone because is not faulty.
I also have asked the Sendo�s Service centre located in my city and they don�t know nothing about this.
Knowing Telefonica...perhaps the software update will be never avalaible...

Does Someone want to buy a brand new Sendo that is almost not able to receive or make calls....? 😞(((((((((((((
I know this is not a Sendo problem...but this makes me feel sad. I was waiting for this phone around 6 months and now....

I'm from Spain and I ordered the phone 2 weeks ago, but they don't even know when it will be available.

Do you think it's because they're waiting for the firmware approval?? Is Sendo sending (wow, now I get what Sendo means!! haha!!) any unit to Spain... or you're waiting for telefonica so you can send'em some Sendo's with new firmware???

I would really appreciate that you could respond to this questions.

Manontehmoon: I asked for the Sendo X in a local shop in Madrid. I got it in my hands only 24 hours later....but.... you can see that It�s not recommended 😊

WHAT!?!?!?!?!? You say it's not a Sendo problem?!?!?!?! FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! Of course it is!!! They have released a phone with an awful beta of firmware!!!

You can't blame Telefonica!!! I'm from spain (y me da igual de rabia Telefonica), but this is OF COURSE an actual problem of Sendo!!!!

Unfortunately it�s very usual to release phones with software bugs.... but in this case, Sendo has the key for my problems but Telefonica doesn�t approved it ( I think due to software personalization....).

If I�d worked in sendo for example i�m sure i could be able to fix it, but Telefonica is the only carrier who has this phone, so it�s the one who i must argue.

Hi,

Firstly, Telefonica approved the ORIGINAL firmware, in your handset now.

Telefonica (and all other operators) were sent the new firmware to approve so it could be put on the download site. They all tested it OK and approved it. I do not know why Telefonica have not done it yet. I am sure it will be out very soon, don't worry.

This post will be a good reason to ask them to hurry up maybe!!

download the netherland-version, install the netherland-version and after it, switch the language to spanich!

or perhaps they have already read this forum and realize that there are still major bugs and issues with the new firmware and are holding off untill a realistic firmware is released that addresses most of the problems

I tried to download the dutch version (SendoXUpdate_8Y0H-28171-0X000_1.56.2.2.exe)
I have used the usb driver that comes with this version, then I select as Language Dutch to install, but i have the same error.

Did i miss something?
