suddenly can't send texts

Hi. For no apparent reason, my 6600 is suddenly unable to send text messages.
A message written goes into outbox and almost instantly says Resend at a few mins later. After a few auto tries, it eventually says failed.

I haven't changed any settings etc it was just out of the blue. I put my O2 sim card in my mates 3650 and texts send find so I know its nothing to do with the network. I can still make and recieve normal calls.

Obviosuly I've tried restarting the phone.

Any help is greatly appreciated, preferably something other than reformating the phone.

Check the message centre in use,you may have a few choices.

Switching the sim to another phone may have changed it,you should have one in the name of your network op.

I now have O2 SMS and SIM msg. centre.

Neither work, and i have checked the O2 SMS settings against my mates (who is also on O2 and does not have the Sim msg. center) and they where identical.

I do not know where the phone got Sim msg center from, its a different number to O2 but maybe from when i have had other sim cards in my phone in the past.

Yeah ive got 4 choices on mine for some reason,

1:Vodafone
2:Setting 1
3:SIM msg. centre
4:SIM msg. centre 1

All with different numbers.

prob from other sims then maybe

My phone also has decided to start fogetting things when i turn it on. It allways forgets the time and date after being powered off, as well as the display type (analogue/digital). Now and then it also looses all messages and call logs. Several pictures have corrupted causing the phone to reset when gallery opens folder (others where rescued to memory card via file explorer).

I gonna reset phone with that code whatever it is. Only thing is i now gotta spend hours backing up contacts etc and reinstalling programs. Also pictures are now not gonna be sorted by date.
