"flash-kit" for firmware upgrade, for home-use?

So tell me, is there any way you can buy firmware flashing utileties so you can flash your own phone when you want?

And if so, where the heck should you look for firmware from nokia?

There are such devices (can't be done with just software), but the devices are rather expensive + the firmware versions supported cannot be obtained legally, because Nokia has not released them for such a purpose.

And as this site attempts to honor the laws of most countries and also to err on the safer side, the discussion presumably has to end at this level.
