Turn off all sound?

Ok, I am sure this is simple and a dumb question. However, when I am in silent mode the sound from games still plays. I know I can turn off the sound in the game itself but, for example, today I was in a boring meeting and my phone was on silent. I loaded up a game under the conference table and it freaking played music!! Very embarassing. So my question is: is there a way or maybe an app that will completely turn off the speaker? Thanks!

Wow, is there no way/app that can do this? Its a pretty serious problem. Even the most basic Palm OS unit has had the ability to shut off its speaker.

in all my games, when it is on silent the sound goes off automtaically! or i just turn off the sound on the app before i put it on silent!!

Well you can always set silent mode ringing or volume to 0, i think you can do that?

So whenever its on silent mode it has no sound.

This way is the only way. i don't think that there is any application comes for this thing.

Thanks people! That is too bad. Some java games still have sound even when the phone is on silent mode. I wish I can rememebr which game it was but I had a big phone crash and had to format my phone. Guess I was playing with too many different software. 😃 I lost a theme I really liked called "cartoon monkey" 😞.
