Hi you guys,
I m afraid this topic has alreadu been discussed but don t find it with the "search". Anyway, I have GRPS (Imode) acces on my 3560. I can have acces to the net with my 3650. Now i d like to use that connection on my laptop (Sony TR). They are both pre equipped with bluetooth. I have paired them and can run a connection no problem. I installed the BT modem but i don t know the settings i have to enter, because it ask me for a number to dial or acces name and pass word but my grps doesn t need any of that. Can you guys please help me out..
Thanks
As far as I know, your 3650 only acts as a modem so your PC/laptop can connect to the internet, you need a dial-up access account to connect to the internet, this is provided by an ISP not by your cellphone network. Your cellphone network should also allow you data calls so you can connect your PC to the internet.
Cheers.

I actually got the laptop and the phone paired, i have been able to run the grps connection between them, aldough when i open a IE window i get the " can display this page" Why ?? any idea?
the bt connection is the defaut connection of IE
You have successfully made a connection between your phone and your PC, your phone will act as a modem, so now you need a dial-up internet account, it can be either from an Internet Service Provider or your cellphone operator, but you will have to ask them the dial-up number to connect to the internet.
Cya.
What you don t understand is : i don t wanna use dial up but a GPRS connection.
So i don t pay per minute but 7 / month for the connection it s slower thant 56k/s but it can be very useful
For most cases, connect the phone as an infrared or Bluetooth modem, then set up a dial-up networking connection from your PC, but dial the number *99# or *99***1# (no username or password) to get a GPRS connection going.
If that's not enough, using the following additional dialup string/setup command should help: +cgdcont=1,"ip","internet"
If your operator uses some other Internet Access Point (IAP) name than "internet", then use that in the above dial string.
So, I got the devices paired and a dial up connection running trough ( *99#)
I put the appropriate setting line in the setting of the modem.
I open a IE explorer window, start the connection, it works i get a connection but i still can open a window
"this page can be displayed"
what should i do
help
thanks
