What is StarterMonLog.txt? — Nokia 6600 and 6620 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

I found a file named "StarterMonLog.txt" in my 6600 phone.
I opened it and see following:

25.9.2004 13:21:26
SreenSaver.app exit
d1=0,100,0,1
d2=4896836,9408512

So what's this for? and where does it come from? Can I delete it safely?

I have also found this on my phone, it has only appeared in the last few weeks. I guess a recently installed application creates it, I have not noticed which one, but as your file only mentions screensaver, I can guess it is after the installation of Psiloc Screensaver.
But as the name suggests it is a log of the startup of your phone so that you can see if there are any problems.

My file is too long to display here 😊
I haven't installed any screensaver app
This file seems to be related with the Symbian OS ..

It's on mine as well, and it's 1.3KB.
If it is a generic file, then I would assume oxsun's file is approximately the same size, and can therefore be safely ignored.
Personally, I would buy a MMC before I started deleting files the size of 3 text messages if I didn't know its purpose or which application created it.... 🙄

Any file that shows up in the phones default file manager,can safely be deleted,and 'StarterMonLog.txt' is no different. 😊

I think this is a log of crashed apps. The apps in my list are the same I occasionally see have hung at some time.
