How to upload to 6600?

2 replies · 1,500 views · Started 26 September 2004

Hey, i got a 6600 yesterday and don't have a data cable or bluetooth/ir on my computer, but i want to upload some pics etc to my phone. I figured i could probably do this via GPRS wap? So i uploaded some files that i've found on the internet to my wbspace and tried to download them with my phone.
Any .SIS files tried to open with real player (and subsequently didn't work)
The .jar games that i've found would download but again, the phone didn't know how to handle the file.
I've also tried opening some mpeg files with real player, but it doesn't seem to be able to work those either.

I've got www.stubbsy.eclipse.co.uk/ancientempires.jar uploaded and ready to go onto my phone, but i just need to know how to do it?

I'd also like to be able to download midi files that i've uploaded and use them as ringtones (or these truetone things, but no one here seems to fully understand - or be capable of explaining - what file format to use) but i'm not entirely sure how to get those to download either... again i've uploaded them to my webspace for the sake of not having to type a stupidly long url. (http://www.stubbsy.eclipse.co.uk/mash.mid for example)

thanks in advance (unless you write something like "buy a cable" in which case you're a fucktard)
