Safe space on pictures

Ok this is the deal....

I like the thumbnail feature at the contacts very very much...
(The feature by which you can add a picture to a contact, and when he/she calls you you can see that picture).

The only problem is that all those pictures take hell alot of space.
Now i found a way (i guess) to limit space.
When you have added a thumbnail to a contact, you can just delete the original picture, the thumbnail will still be there 😊

I haven't tested it very good yet. But i think it will stay there....

Hope you guys like my trick 😊

It stays there! Like when putting an Image as a wallpaper(backgound) you can delete it and the backgound stays there! 😊

No, it will stay there even after a power cycle.
When you set an image thumbnail to a contact, a smaller image is saved and stored with that name, so the main copy in the Images directory can be deleted. 😃

No no wrong! The thumbnails from contacts are stored in the contacs database file not in Images_tn

Images_Tn stores thumbnails from Images in the Images folder. When you open your images folder from the phone you see every image with a thumbnail and its name! This thumbnails is stored not the one of the contacts!

what happens when i to the full restet of the phone back to orignal settings? If this svaes space how do i save my contacts on pc with the thumbnails, just for a backup?

You can do a bakup of the phone! This is the only good option to be sure that you actually have everything back on the phone!
