N-Gage QD or iPaq 2210?

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a QD. I currently have a sharp gx-32 and iPaq 2210 combo. But I am seriously considering to replace my 2210 with the N-gage QD. The Features that I use the most are the Calendar, Spb Finance app, Contacts, Tasks, Alarms, Reminders. Is the QD capable of keeping at par with the 2210?

The Apps that are most important to me are the Spb Finance and the Calendar Apps. Does the Handy Expense by Epocware have the same features as the Spb Finance?

Also in terms of Syncing & connectivity, how is the QD? It is very vital that I am able to sync my outlook with the QD. I also have a Belkin bluetooth USB. Is it compatible with the QD?

Thanks so much for everyone's time & help!

Since your on a symbian site i'd guess most people are going to see ngage qd, but really i'm not sure why you're getting an ngage qd, if tyou don't want it for games. It has nor radio, or built in mp3 player and is bigger than a lot of phones. Why not get rid of the sharp gx-30 and get a 7610 which also has a 1.3mp camera and is also symbian? Keep the 2210 though, i don't think you'll find that the alternaitve apps are as good for finance.

thanks for the quick reply sco2001! Actually, the MAIN reason why I really want to get the QD is because of the Gaming experience 😃

I absolutely love my sharp gx-32 that's why I don't want to change it 😃

I've got the 2215 and a QD but I'm a bit of a gadget freak. To be honest I've found the gaming on the QD to be lacking compared to a Gameboy. Sure it can do 3-D but technically the GBA can as well. I've tried games like Ashen but they all leave me with the conclusion that if you can't do 3-D well, don't do it at all (which I think is why almost all GBA games are using the isometric view).

I know convergance means sacrificing some functionality, but for gaming you may want to check out one of the many NES emulators for Windows Mobile. I have PocketNES and it runs them beatifully and at full speed. The buttons on the 2215 are a little lacking though. If you want to get a good gaming device to tote along with you, you may want to think about the upcoming NintendoDS as well. It'll play the huge library of GBA games and the next-gen games for it look pretty incredible. Not a Nintendo fanboy or anything, but just seems like their offerings are a lot more solid. My favorite game for the QD, the Sims, is available with almost exactly the same features and gameplay on the GBA. Sigh. 😊

Long winded I know, but my final word on it is that if you want a smartphone with bluetooth and can find a Best Buy that's running the $100/no activiation promotion it's not a bad deal at all for a phone with it's capabilities outside of gaming. Just my .02.

Don't even try to compare the 3D gaming expirience on the N-Gage and on the GBA because the GBA has NONE.

That is why i have PicoDrive,SymbNes and GoBoy. 😉

Yep, the 3D on the GBA isn't even good quality. It's pretend 3D, with nice looking 2D sprites or images over a 3D-looking background.

I find the GBA games much better than the Ngage games....

The upcoming games for N-Gage Should be really good :
Call of Duty ( iam a ww2 fan :x , United Offensive is awsome 😃 )
Worms World Party ( "Ill get u !" )
Pathway to glory ( Damn i want that one )
pocket kingdom ( should be cool :P / expensive if u have to pay GPRS tough :\ )

Before developers Make games for n-gage it has to have potential,
but i think the developers see the potential in the n-gage now, Cause the upcomming game list is huge,
a whole list of upcoming games on www.n-gage.com,
( Tony hawk on N-gage kicks tony hawk on GBA's ass 😊)
