Virgin reckon that the service will deepen its relations with its listeners with items like "Most Wanted" songs, competitions and purchase concert tickets from the handset. The question is what device the public will listen on? The 7700 is probably never going to see the commercial light of day - so is this yet another "confirmation rumour" that the 7710 is almost ready? Let's hope so.

I was nudged the other day into looking at Virgin Radio's beta test of a new streaming internet radio player. The limited testing is only open to those who have registered as VIPs on the Virgin Radio site, which was a nice way of getting a small group of enthusiastic users of the site to try out the new service.
