My n-gage started working strange after installing wildskinz and smartlauncher (but I had been warned wildskinz at last had loads of bugs so it's my fault, really), so I uninstalled them. The message 'system error' appears all the time now, and I cannot find where's the problem because I uninstalled everything. SO I'll go to nokia service and ask them to format my ngage, but I've got a problem: my QD restarts automatically every time I try to make a backup on my MMC, so I can't save anywhere my contacts and sms. the contacts are not a problem cause I've got them all written down, but, does anyone know any alternative app, or any way at all, to keep my sms and load them on my QD after formatting? no, I'm not gonna write them down too 😃
Thanks for all!
Anyone? pleeeeease? :con?

In 36xx theres such an option as to use MMC as storage for messages, if qd has such :con? then give it a go and your messages will be in /systems/mail/ directory of the MMC. I think changing it as well from phone memory to MMC should prompt u to copy all messages to it. Not really sure. Try booting in safe mode as well before doing this.
Nope, there is not such an option...thanks anyway. I suppose they at nokia thought it was enough with the backup option. How do I boot in safe mode, anyway?
I don't think there is a safe-mode on the QD.
However, it's still worth a try.
Hold down the pencil key while turning on your QD. Keep down on the pencil key until you reach your main screen with your network, wallpaper etc.
Then try copying your msgs.
If there isn't an option to change, you might want to install the attached prog....
Just install the SIS, and run the little icon it creates. The screen will go blank and you can close the app by holding down the menu key and pressing C to close any apps other than "Telephone"
HOWEVER- this is not a sure way. I'm not sure if this actually moves your messages, it might just change where they're stored from then on. :\
Nope, it doesn't move your sms. Plus, I received a message just after installing and running it and went to the system's memory. Thanks anyway, it was worth trying.
By the way, the QD doesn't have a safe mode.
