As you have found,
The Stereo headset that comes with the 6230 doesnt work with the mono output 7610. You are basically looking at a single earpiece kit, unless you can find a 2 piece kit that just duplicates the mono output for the 2nd ear, but i dont think they exist as of yet.
Another option would be to buy a 6630, thats stereo, and the 6230p headset will work fine! 😃

I've found a lead that allow you to connect any headphone you have to a Nokia 7610 and hear mono in both sides of the headphones.
It definitely works, I've bought it.
