I've just started tinkering with OggPlayer (6600 firmware 3.42.1).
I want to know how to create a stable library of .ogg files (for playback purposes, not for ringtones). There doesn't appear to be a save option like you get when you transfer a .wav or .midi file via BlueTooth.
I suppose I could just keep the files in in my sms inbox, but I usually purge that every couple of days.
Could I create a directory on the MMC using FExplorer, name it 'Ogg', and then cut & paste the BT messages from c>system>mail to this new folder? If so, then where exactly should I create such a folder?
.ogg files
Problem solved: I just found the OggVorbis Controller plug-in!
which plugin. i installed 1.0.9 version. it is fine but ogg files dont play with vibration. is it the case with you. please let me know
I'm also using v1.0.9. I don't usually have vibrate on, but I'll try it and let you know.
When the .ogg has finished, the default Nokia tone kicks in, so I use long(ish) tones.
The latest OggPlay (version 1.6.1) should adress the problem with ringing tones. It's primary a music player, but the ogg plugin delivered with the package should work well as ring-tones . Tested fine with 2 different 6600 firmwares.
The 1.6.1 release can be downloaded from : http://sourceforge.net/projects/symbianoggplay
OggPlay homepage: http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/
Thats some great news...............It works great on 3.42.1............Ringtone is fine and vibration as well...............Do uninstall the previously installed Oggplay, Ovcontroller and Oggplay Recognizer..................It would work for sure atleast in this firmware.
