Upgrading from 32MB to 256MB

I am currently using a 32MB MMC. Thinking to change to a new 256MB MMC. Question is can I just copy the content from the 32MB to 256MB with a card reader or do I need to reinstall all my programs found on the 32MB MMC?

If u r using Card Reader to transfer data then u need not hav to install the application again.

I would copy all the files on your 32 into a pc or phone memory (if they will fit) and then remove all the apps etc using 'manager' and then put the new card in the phone and format it ( Menu/extras/memory/options/format ) and then copy the files into the new card.
Card readers have been known on more than one occasion to cause serious firmware problems when swapping cards,so this is the safest way.

I got a 256 card from ebay the other day and it worked perfectly. But what i'm wondering if the 1 gig card from MobyMemory would work.......

I guess so,seeing as they have a big advert at the top of this very page!
It may say N gage compatible now,but the ads wording does fluctuate to 6600. 😊

Yah, I got quite a bit of files....mp3 and oggs....alongs with my pack of old games for the Sega Genesis via pico drive......and my 256 is already starting to fill.....
