My previous phone was a T68i.
When i set the alarm I could power off the phone and the alarm would still go off.
This does not seem to be the case for the p910i. Can anyone confirm this? Or is there a way of enabling this function?
I found it extremely useful to have as an alarm clock!

Nope. Seems to be a "feature" of the P-series phones that the alarms won't ring if you turn the phone off. I'm assuming this is down to the OS and so might be something that will be added with the P1000. Your best bet is to just put the phone in Flight mode (so no-one can ring you and disturb your sleep during the night) and turn on all the power saves (dimming the screen and saving battery).
