I went into a typical Vodafone store on the Strand in London this afternoon, and the staff did not have a clue about it, when it was being released or anything. This despite the in store customer info system having the basic tech details and saying "Coming soon". Interestingly the staff computers had no info! I guess these things take time...
So, Vodafone being used as an example in an early Sendo demo of the X was a nice hint to us all. I am sure some of us on this forum knew this announcement was coming 😉
I will be interested to see what version of the firmware it comes out with, and even more interested to see how the shop staff handle it when I play the innocent punter and go and ask them how I upgrade it!
Oh well, at long last the X is properly available in the UK, and I can leave my "lovely" 😉 Virgin mobile service...
I'm almost suprised Voda got it out so quickly - I'm sure all the operators had been waiting for the lates set of firmware updates...
Personally, I expect we'll see it on at least 2 other operators as well in this country...to be honest I expected one of the others to announce it first... 😉
