Sat Nav on your phone?

I hear its possible to get some kind of satellite navigation system on my 6600 but the only one I`ve seen has to have some kind of add ons. Is there not just a program I can download or some other easy way?

Lol,

Its no longer enough to have a phone with all these capabilities!
If you hold down the 'red' and 'C' key down for three seconds,a kitchen sink expands out of the earpiece. 😊
I hear the N9960 has an app which will actually drive your car home if you have had a few beers, its available for download at www.youcantbeserious.com

😊

well that`s all well and good but what use is the kitchen sink when I can`t even find the road I want? 😉

...but seriously though, I think the application you're looking for is called Wayfinder. I haven't used it myself, so I can't vouch for it. It's available from the shop on this site, and it's subscription-based.

Hi,

There are two applications I know of for satellite navigation :-

Way Finder - http://www.wayfinder.com/index_en.php

Route 66 - http://www.66.com/route66/index.php

Both use GPRS and a Bluetooth GPS receiver unit to determine position against a map on your phone.

Another is Tom Tom City Maps -

I have not used any of them, but I am impressed and considering one.

Ian

right so I take it I need a GPS receiver, what I need to know now is - where do I get one CHEAP?! (like the budgie!)

tomtom - mobile

i have it

its very good a very accurate

voice prompts are clear if ya take a wrong turn it recalculates within about 5 seconds which is very quick

runs smooth

not found any problems with it yet

seriously if your thinking about getting it...then stop thinking and go and buy it
