Is the D710 ever going to appear?

I thought they'd given up on this phone until I saw the photos posted by Delta737. If it's at the Expo that would suggest it IS going ahead, but I've had a good look on the net and can hardly find any information on it.

Just wondered if anyone knew anything more about it than what we heard way back in March? Maybe there was some info on it at the Expo?

After the cancellation of the D700 it wouldn't surprise me if they would cancel this as well...

I haven't spoken to anyone from Samsung at the Expo, so I can't help you there...

Ye that's pretty much what I thought.

Won't hold out too much hope for it then, shame really cus it looks like a nice phone.

u should move on to newer phones
the 6630 looks much nicer and features much more better functions

Only problem is I'm not keen on the looks of Nokia phones, I know a lot of people on this site swear by them but I just want something with a normal keypad, call me boring if you want! 😊 Features are good, and I'd rather have a feature-rich phone which doesn't look great over a really pretty phone with no features, but I want something that I think looks reasonable.

The D700 was at the previous Expo too, so the fact that this one is here too doesn't mean very much 😡

TBH, i'm not a great fan of the D710, and prefered the D700 much more, even though it was lacking in a few features. They are just taking so long to get all their phones to the market at the moment, think it could have something to do with them taking a MS, Symbian & Palm phone to the market at once so development of new handsets is taking so long.

By the time they release the phone to the market it is already obsolete in terms of new technology. They have to over engineer everything and give things silly futuristc specifications if they still want it to be vaild when the eventually get round to releasing it. (Nearly 2 years of development on the DXXX series phones and not even a peep from Samsung on progress or possible release dates).

I gave up a long time ago :frown:
