Hi, i made 2.5mm -> 3.5mm headphone adapter myself, its workin fine, only problem im havin is that even when connected, phones own speaker still doesnt mute, i would want to hear music & watch videos without disturbing other peoples, anyone know any solution how to mute main speaker? Any info would be appreciated, thx in advance.

The jack plug you used is incorrect,the mute function is auto detect in the jack socket.
Try another jack plug. 😊
