Hmm, I have one question.. what do I do to be able to run PicoDrive? Where do I place the files, etc.?

I am very confused here. I first downloaded the zip containing one dll and two exe's (and two txt-files), but I dunno how to use that on the phone.

Second, I downloaded the PicoDrive 0.25 .SIS file, but it seems that whatever .SIS file I try to run, it never wants to install. Does this have to do anything with the phone being locked or something similar? I have tried to install some programs that I need (PDF+ for instance) and some games, but to no avail.

PicoDrive comes in a SIS package.Your phone needs to be open to installation of third party software in order to install it.

Ah ok, as I suspected. And that is probably illegal, right? I'll have a look around the net on how to do that, if not some friendly soul could PM me the solution to that (if allowed).

I'm not sure but i think that the latest a920 firmware is open to installation of third party software.Just go to your local service centre and reflash it.Please do not aks for firmware or unlocking in the forums.

How do I exit picodrive when running in FULL SCREEN?? or how do I turn off full screen? Currently I have to remove the battery to exit the game. Thanx.

I'm having a problem with picodrive on my A925. I can't save my progress in the games. When I choose "save state" the program closes itself and a error-message comes up. the sound doesn't work either. Anyone knows what to do?

GhostDog: If you were talking to me, no there is no "c" -button on the A925.

Ok, have successfully installed PicoDrive (and a bunch of other programs, I am so happy now!! 😊)

But, how to I tip the screen so I can use the phone on the side instead of upright? It's extremely hard to maneuver it when you have the buttons at the top and the controlpad at the bottom.. 😊

Figured out how to flip the screen, but it only works in fullscreen mode, which is impossible to get out from. I have turned off the screen lock and everything, but I still cannot get out from the fullscreen mode. Have to detach the battery and reattach it to shut it down.

Also, it flips to the wrong side! Everyone knows that you use the controlpad with the left hand, just check all the console gamepads and you'll see 😊

erm, to get out of fullscreen like it was already said in this thread, tap where the picodrive menu should usually be, just keep tapping around there until the menu comes up..

and you can select 'flip fullscreen' or whatever the menu option is to flip it the other way..

So I can flip multiple times?

Too bad it crashes all too often, leaving the phone impaired until I restart it by removing the battery.

I recommend that you use v0.24 of PicoDrive. 0.25 has sound support but save/lod doesn�t work which it does on 0.24. More importand with save in my opinion especially when playing rpgs. Having the sound enabled on 0.25 makes some games crash as well.

Rpg lovers should try Beyond Oasis which is a great game. And Phantasy Star series ofcors especially numbere 4. Crusader of Centy is a nice rpg as well.

Anyone who has other good rpg titles pls chare.

But it runs considerably slower than v0.25.

What control setup do you guys use? I use this one, which is not that great for most action games:

A = Game Button 1
B = Center Button on Navpad (so I can jump and shoot)
C = Game Button 2
Start = 3 Button
Up, Down, Left, Right = Navpad

Acctually, I have the exact same setup of keys. If 3button is the one I think it is 😊
I haven�t noticed that v0.24 should run slower. Mby cause I�m playing phantasy start atm and that isn�t a "speedy" game. I�ve only noticed how low fps I get when the sound is enabled on v0.25.

This sega roms blows almost any other game that is for the phone itself.
I love EChess s well, cause it�s so well fitted for the phone with it�s pen 😉
A portabel chess device costs more then my A925 did so it�s pretty amazing.

Can�t see why it takes so long to atlest make a version that is v0.25 + save function from the earlier version.

I noticed that version 0.25 runs just as slow. It's got to do with when I hold down the directional pad when I want to move.. it's strange. Did not happen the first time I tried 0.25.

Yo dude. I had the same thing. Well acctuelly I had that slowiness/lagg when I held down d-pad on all games. Not only this emu.

It turned out it was only cause of button sound on the phone ;p
If you turn off the button sound option it should fix your problem. You probably had it turned off last time you tried 0.25 when you said there wa no lagg.

Though, when it worked before, I had them turned on, but I guess the level I was playing in Megaman - Wily Wars was not such a hectic one.. hahaha. At last it is playable.

Might you, or anybody else, know what the difference is between 0.24 and 0.25, apart from that 0.25 seems to be worse than 0.24 due to the lack of savestates?

You mean beside the fact v0.25 have sound support? Well atleast on some/many games. ex sonic 1, phantasy star 4 m.m.
But as I said earlier, I still prefer 0.24 cause of the save stat.Some says v0.25 runns faster but I really think not.
