I have just purchased a Nokia 3650 and a new MMC. I have formatted the card but keep receiving the above message. I have re-formatted the card and cleared all my previous messages, but nothing seems to help. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Not enough memory to receive SIM messages
Did you also clear messages on the SIM card?

Didn't realise that I could clear SIM card. However the card says that it has 252MB of free space! I am new to forums so please excuse my ignorance in these matters.
Note that I meant the operator's SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card, not the MMC (MultiMedia Card). SIM messages are stored on the SIM, not the MMC, and the message seems to indicate that there is no room on the SIM card.
menu -> Messaging -> Options -> SIM messages
Options -> Mark/Unmark -> Mark all
Options -> Copy
select a folder & OK
Then repeat the above, but instead of Options -> Copy do Options -> Delete to clear them off the SIM.
its better you change message memory to the MMC. then you no need to worry about the space.
for that you go..
messaging
options
settings
other
change memory in use as MMC .
enjoy.
