Occasionally, when my phone is ringing, I hear some voice through the speakerphone before I answer it (on top of my regular ringtone). It has happened only a couple of times and the last time it was a wrong number. Thus I am not sure if it was the voice of person who was calling. I wonder if it is some unknown feature of the phone that allows the calling person to sort of "push and talk." Any idea what it could be?
Thanks.
Andrey
Can't believe. One thing I can say for sure is it wasn't the voice of the calling person.
What was the date? friday the 13th? 😊)

i have experienced this many times. i would hear whoever was calling me as if it was already answered but then the ringer would come on and i wont hear whoever was calling me again.
if you have your phone on "Silent" and you receive a phone call, you will get to hear whoever is calling you until you answer the phone. give it a try and set your phone on Silent and call yourself from a different phone while holding the n6600 to your ear.

Soooooo doesn't happen for me. Hearing voices??? OK. I'm going w/ friday the 13th. What firmware do you have 6.66? Reset the phone, kill any autoanswer, and stop annoying people by answering w/ speakerphone on 😉
Doesn't happen for me too

i have version 4.09.1 with Tmobile
it really happens on my phone. last week i was driving home from a movie and had my phone on silent. i saw my screen light up and heard sound from whoever was calling me. i came home and i tested it by calling myself from my house line and scratched the mic to make noise.
i just had my friend call me from his house and i guessed what song he was playing.

terrordome, you are right. I tried it on Silent and I could hear myself through the speakerphone. Could it be something specific to T-Mobile? My previous encounters were not on Silent thus it is not just about the profile.

yes it isnt really about the profile. on a profile that has a ringer, you get a phone call and you hear sound from from the caller for a second before the ringer begins to play. in silent there isnt a ringer so i guess thats why you can hear it until you answer.
i dont know if its with Tmobile. it doesnt happen with other nokia phones with Tmobile.
all i know its pretty funny to hear when someone is calling you and you can hear them while they only hear the ringer.
