I just bought a Moto A920, I followed the instructions in the manual, it says we have to activate the suite in both (PC & Mobile). I did the same. The PC cant detect my phone, I also tried the IrDa. The IrDa port can detect all other phones, it's working properly, but when I place the phone( Moto A920), it doesn't detect it. Other phones have the option to ON & OFF the IrDa. But this phone dont have. I tried by connecting with the Desktop Suite. No response. The main problem is the PC cannot detect the Mobile connected. Some one help me in this. What would be the problem? How to activate IrDa in the phone? I'm really frustrated since i cant connect it, I tried in different machines, nothing can be done. Pls help me in this.. Thanks!

Try turning your firewall off
By the way did you go to the device manager and make sure the phone driver was proberly installed? (Coz it often doesn't)
I had problems setting up my A920 untill I had It flashed at a Service Centre to enable Bluetooth and Infra Red, it updates it to an A925 and has new software for the PC here is a link.

I got it working quite well over Bluetooth:
Stuff:
-> One USB Cubix Bluetooth device to my laptop(windows) (connected to the USB).
-> A A925 phone wihtin 10 meters of my laptop.
Software for PC:
A925 PC Desktop Suite
Software for phone:
Default stuff.
Configurations:
-> A925 Phone Bluetooth set to discoverable
-> Activated the Desktop Suite on phone (this is done under Control panel too, at the same spot as the configuration option as above) . "Tell it" to use Desktop Suite over Bluetooth.
Start a session:
-> Pair the computer and A925 by using the bluetoothdevice on the PC/Laptop. (If you find the phone add it on the list and this is a good confirmation that the device AND Desktop Suite will work.)
-> Start A925 Desktop Suite program on the PC (or laptop whatever).
-> Start the Desktop Suite program on the phone and click connect.
