Hi, I have got a new facia for my 6600, and don't know how to fit it.
I know youre supposed to press through the holes at the back, but it won't work!!!
Has anybody got any tips/ tools to use, im desperate.
And ive already asked carphonewarehouse, and they say ive voided my warranty but making cosmetic damage, so will charge 30 for it, which im not payin.
Also the new case comes with the other half of the ring aroundthe camera, how do i get that out????
Many Thanks In Advance,
Al
I was wondering about this problem too - I've not been brave enough to buy a cover until i find an answer
I think there are peope on ebay selling tool kits and instructions combined - about 4 might be worth a look! just search for 6600 tool or something like that
I removed and replaced my fascia using a broad, flat bladed instrument to gently prise the front off. The broader the better, as there is less risk of damaging the casing.
i brought a faceplate for my 6600 the other day off EBAY and it cost about a 5 it looks like an offical one (NOKIA NAME) but it was from japan/Hong Kong, they sent it within a week, and get this they sent a complementry Tool for takin the covers of easily, A Bacck replacement Cover and a lens disc thing for the back.
I used to use a flick knife well kinda and once i cut the strip under the keypad resulting in no buttons working :banghead:. So be very careful take your time, if it takes you all day to do it then it will be quicker than earning the money to buy another :hmmmm:.
