P910 isync mac iCal problem..

I used to have a p800 which worked perfectly well with my Mac via apple iSync. However my new p910 only sync with address book and not iCal calender. any ideas?

....and strangely.. in the Bluetooth Set up Assistant, I'm given options "use with Address Book" "access the interent with your phones data connection" and importanlty "set up iSync to transfer contacts and events" which is grey so you can't check it. :con?

iSync uses tcpip over a bluetooth PPP connection. I had problems because the firewall was stopping this traffic. Try turning off any firewall on your Mac while you iSync.

Hi there,
I am also able to sync the address book but not the ical or to dos. Did a search and found a document under preferences called com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist. What I am supposed to turn off here? not familiar with this and bound to press the self distruct button instead!

cheers!

Have a look at the sharing panel in system prefs. This is where you turn the firewall on/off

When it is off, go to iSync and then Devices -> Add Device let it find the P910 (bluetooth on and discoverable) then sync away.

I just got a p910i, my old P900 worked 100% with isync.
Now nothing syncs. I does not even show an icon for the phone, and only finds it if i search for other devices...

My firewall is off, never had it on to startwith.

Any ideas?

Mmmm.... yip isync does not support p910 yet, acording to some sites.
Mmm... guess gonna have to wait it out then. Sob.

It does work OS X 10.3.5 & 6

To see what might be going wrong, open the Console application in Utilities and look at the system log (Cmd-opt O)

this is the stuff i get during an isync:

Well my issue is slightly different. My address book syncs just fine (all several thousand contacts), but when it comes to the calendar I get a error message:

13:10:51 Warning |Tors phone| Tors phone is low on memory. Please remove some data from the device and sync again.

- and as my calendar is very small, this seems unlikely, and fairly clearly a bug....
