To every1 it may concern,
I just recently pickd up a p910 but was wondering about software and differences. Is there a way you can run series 60 software on the p910?? basically if they are both use symbian os it should work. Also has anyone seen the page on series 60 wifi something about hackers bypassing bluettoth chip to enable wlan. Wud there any way this would happen on a p910
No, and most likely not.
Series 60 software doesn't work. Period
The hack only worked on very few Nokia's, I doubt it will work on a SE
There is no way whatsoever how a Bluetooth radio module can be "hacked" or converted to work as a WLAN radio. You can't use it to microwave food either, even if all three devices (Bluetooth, WLAN, microwave oven) operate in the same unlicensed 2.4GHz frequency band.
There are also no "secret codes" that turn your mobile into a radar detector. 😉
Oh but there is AFAIK! I heard of some people who indeed hacked their S60 Bluetooth to get it to work with wifi. Don't know if this is true though, but some people claim they succeded...
I think this settles it:
