Hi,
I've just got a nice new 512meg rs-mmc for my 7610, thing is I want to transfer all my sms messages from my exisiting mmc to the new one.... is this possible?
I'm thinking I could just copy the E:\system\mail folder but I'm sure it will be more complicated than that!
Any help appreciated

Thats what i do after a format copy the entire systems/mail directory and format the card then upload them all back. Im sure it will work.
Well i think Orignal RS MMC is Copyright Protected and can't be read in Card Reader after formating it will work in card reader.

Is there anyway around this? 🙄
There is no kind of RS-MMC protection on the RS-MMC delivered with the 7610. It is a perfectly normal card and works in a PC-based card reader just fine (at least on my PC). Actually, there is no kind of "copyright protection" mechanisms for any kind of MMC (like there is for SD, Secure Digital, cards).
N/A I have tried 4 different RSMMC all of them were in sales package when i tried to use in Card Reader My pc no card in inserted. But when i Format it in phone and put in Card Reader it was Working
Wht was this?

U are right.
7610 rsmcc which comes in sales package doesn't have any "copyright protection"
works fine in mine and also works in my friend
not even give any single problem.
Maybe this is because of the varying card readers we have. Maybe the card reader vicky has, is limited only to a certain Megabyte for MMCs. Could it be? 🙄
