Finding No Network

Besides selecting manual or automatic searching for networks, in the next menu, you can also choose what type of networkband you want, GSM 900/800 or 1900.
I don't know that you use in Iran but try playing with that one too.

Turning of the phone and on again also sometimes resolves network problems.

also recently my now screen just disappeared and i had to do a reset on my x( keepin 5 pressed when i turn it on) and then it came back. i read in some thread in here that somebodyelse had the same problem. kinda annoying to see the now screen just mess up since sendo proudly claims its a great feature ( which it is but only if it were reliable)

hmm well all in all i am still quite content with my x😊, just hope i can get some network coverage out here in tehran😊

i did try the 900/1800 settings and stuff but had no luck, now the funny thing is that when i use my dubai sim card in iran i can find the iranian network when i do a manual search with my x but i cant log onto the network because i have no roaming.
but when i do the same with the iranian sim card i cant find the damn network😞
anybody have any ideas why it doesnt work and how i could make it work?

OK first of all you need to carry out all the standard checks:
1. First of all try removing the SIM, clean it with a soft clean tissue and re-insert
2. Check with software you have and if there is a software update available from the http://www.sendo.com/smartphones/downloads.asp website. Remember you can only install software that matches the Pn stated in the about section on your phone (MENU/EXTRAS/ABOUT then press right twice)
3. Check the local network coverage and network status by contacting the network provider.
4. Try the phone in different locations and if you still have problems and the SIM picks up network whilst tested in other phones then refer to the repair centre in the country the X was bought from. However, if you also have problems with the SIM in other phones report it to the network provider who will investigate (obviously, after replacing the SIM to rule out a SIM fault).

3.didnt ask them but i guess the sims ok since it works in my sl45i without any problems
4.hmmm i did use the sim in the x in different locations but still didnt have coverage.i cant really send the x back to germany to get it fixed since i am in iran right now and might be stayin here for awhile and have no clue how long and if sendo would fix the problem, if it is a hardware problem. i am hoping that its some bug that will be fixed in the upcoming FW. otherwise i will just sell the damn x because even thou its a great phone and i luv it , i dont see any use for it if i cant use it for its primary function>>>>to make phone calls!!!

ihad no roaming in Iran, just found out.

here in pakistan i have roaming and it works fine.

i suggest you go get a new sim card or try your simcard in someone elses mobile phone.

personally i think you have a hardware problem as your SIM works in other phones and other people with similar software versions are OK. If that is the case you will need to send back to the country it was purchased for repair.

i went to a cell phone store and told the guy about my problem.he did a restart on the phone and typed in some keys(didnt see which ones) and voila my x found the iranian network. the guy did take 30000 rials from me(which is around 3 dollars)and wouldnt tell me what he did, he did tell me that i might lose the network and end up with the same problem i had before. my question to y'all is if ANYBODY knows what keys he pressed to find the network. i dont feel like payin 3 euros everytime i lose the network.
i also asked in another thread if anybody knows what settings and codec u guys use for smartmovie 2.47 to get a smooth picture on the x, but nobody answered me😞

boogie, he probably entered some network code for the iranian network so the receivance would be better. it doesn't have anything to do with your X imho...

No such network code to improve your coverage exists. I know coz i worked for a Vodafone UK as a network specialist.
Next time try and get a better look!

Perhaps switched from automatic network search setting to manual (or vice versa)?

i figured out what the problem is
the problem is😃>>> phones that are not released in iran(like the x) have to have their IMEI number registered with the iranian network company. i went to the iranian network company and the lady told me it takes a whole month to get my phone registered. now this guy in the cell phone store just entered the code for the btn(the antenna thingys that spread the network in a city) and i had network only within that btns reach.
i went to the same store today and asked him if he could give me the codes, he said he couldnt and wouldnt(damn it).
now i figured if i could change my IMEI number to an IMEI number that is already registered in the iranian network then my x should work. the guy in the store said it should work too.
now i am ponderin if i should do this or not. i dont want to mess up my x or somethin by changin the IMEI( i hear there are progs that can do it) . also i am wonderin if in the future i need to back up on the x's warranty, if i could change my IMEI back to the original one.
what do u guys think? i am open for all suggestions and tips😊

ps> speedman most stores i went to didnt know the x, when i told them its a sendo , they were like" a sendo what?" i guess the guy could figure the x out because the x runs on symbian just like the 6600(which is really big out here in iran)
anyways i just luv havin such an exclusive phone that nobody has or has even heard of, i guess most of x owners feel the same😊

i know the 6600 is big out there. I even got bluejacked at the airport of teheran.

anyway: i don't have roaming as well over there, can you tell me if you find out what i can do to have roaming out there on my next visit?

hmm speed u have to find out if ur home network provider provides roaming in iran. i know for sure that eti-salat(dubai network) offers roamin in iran but not on pre-paid sim cards.
anyways right now in some regions of tehran i can get network but i cant make any phone calls, i can only recieve calls.
was hoping somebody could help me out with an IMEI changin program or somethin.
hey speed do u know of any bluejackin progs that automatically send a message to a found device? also what settings do u use on smartmovie(if u use smart movie😊 )
