hey,i live in the US, but i wanted an n gage QD early, so i got one from canada 3 weeks early..
we went boating a few weeks ago, and i had it sitting in a cup holder. then a HUGE wave comes up, and covers the entire boat and all of us in water (not fun, very cold). i look over at the cup holder with my phone, and its full of water!!!
my phone at this point is off now, it turned off. i get home, i open it up. and let it sit overnight. i put it all back, and bam! it works!. not very well but it worked, buttons worked 50 % of the time, sometimes you had to press real hard. but i was just thankful my $230 dollar investment didnt become trash.
I bought a new face and keypad for it (the gay light blue one) and now the phone works 98% of the time! every button is detected, but occasionally a button gets entered twice.
I emailed nokia canada, because nokia US said that because its a canadian phone, i have to email nokia canada for repair or swap for a refurb. nokia canada didnt even reply the email. but since its almost all better now with the new keypad, i guess i dont need those jerks anymore. what a story!
