i was wondering whether there is a software or a firmware which enable ngage to play mp3 by itself just like ngage classic can..? or is there a way to use mp3 as QD ringtone without having to convert it to amr or wav?

No.Well,not like the N-Gage classic can.You can install third party MP3 player and get 16Khz mono output.No MP3 ringtones at all.Search the forums.
