This unit looks really nice, and is probably also expensive...
Still, the problem remains... Since the Sendo X (or no other smartphones to my
knowledge) is able to connect to concurrent Bluetooth devices (more than one
bluetooth unit at the time) I will not be able to speak through the handsfree set
and use the bluetooth GPS at the same time!

So, I would like to see a car hands-free kit with a cradle suited for the Sendo X
which does NOT use bluetooth and which also takes advantage of the external
antenna connectora at the backside of the phone (otherwize why did they put it
there?)...

Are you looking at the correct car kit CK3300

The carkit mentioned will actually solve your problem, you can connect to bluetooth navigation and also use it as a bluetooth hands free carkit at the same time, it will even work through your stereo speakers and will mute the stereo when you have an incoming call, all you need then is a universal cradle and a car charger and you have a complete kit.

I cant see what other bluetooth activities you may need while driving a car.

yes its relitively expensive about �200, but the point is it will work with any bluetooth phone and its not a dedicated sendo x carkit, so you can use it with any future bluetooth phone you may have, you wont need to buy another carkit again.

And really the days of external antenna on carkits have long since gone, they are really not needed unless you are travelling in really really remote places.

I also think you would find it hard for any manufacturer, including third party manufacturers to have a wired carkit for many bluetooth phones, its just not realistic for them to spend time and money designing dedicated wired carkits for each bluetooth phone, when 1 good universal bluetooth kit will do the job for all phones.

You may also be able to negotiate with Tomtom to just be able to buy their software and not the gps receiver as this is included in the carkit that I mentioned

My brother has this set up with his 6600, and not only does he have a voice activated hands free carkit, he has tom tom navigation and also has trafcam gps speedtrap detector working all at the same time and he has no problems with the cark kit, he is now thinking of getting a sendo x, which means that he wont have to buy a new carkit, just a sendo car charger for �10,

The more I use the phone, the more software I discover simply
don't work in this phone...

MGS games are having audio problems, N-Gage games have audio (and memory)
problems (yeah yeah I know, warez, but I had to try to check to compatibility),
GoBoy (Gameboy Emulator) does not work with audio, Super Transball (my favourite game) does not work with audio, Frodo C64 emulator crashes due to
audio incompatibility, Sky-Force (another of my favourites) is claiming audio
incompatibility, 3'rd party MP3 players (UltraMP3, GoMP3, Mp3 player) are
all having audio-problems with this phone, GeoPod XE crashes due to audio
incompatibility, ++++ lots of other games does not work due to audio hardware
incompatibility...

Well, what am I to do ?? Frustration is growing every day, especially since this
extra super-duper ARM7 DSP audio processor isn't even capable of playing sounds
without electrical interference on the Sendo X itself...

I hope somehting is done sooooon with regards to firmware, otherwize this
has become an expensive experiment for me..

Also, now with a new phone and with new firmware people are starting to
complain that they cant hear me on the other side ....

what the %"#"%"#�#� is going on with this �420 device... ??

It looks like you have realy bad MMC card! Try other card - it should solve some of yours problems ...

Using 2 seconds to switch song is not fast in my mind, it is insanely slow!!

but the software compatibility issue is not solved through switching memory card!

Messus after all the problems you mentioned that you are having with Sendo X, you come with this "line" about Nokia 6600....I am using my nokia 6600 for about a year now and personally i never had to deal with any of the problems you had with Sendo X! So i dont think that "coming out of a kinder egg" would fit for such a phone like 6600. I was also thinking to upgrade my 6600 to a sendo X but after all the problems ive read in forums of people who own that phone i decided to go for the nokia 6630.

I mean what I say.. I am not 100% satisfied with the Sendo X, but that is also
because expecations are very high to this phone.. I have had the N-6600 for
1 year now and know the phone inside-out. When it comes to design the
N-6600 is large and cumbersome, and has a "cheap" childish-plastic feeling to it
compared to the Sendo X, and it has no Stereo sound, no USB connection,
cumbersome replacement of memory card, only support for the slower standard
MMC cards etc... but people have different needs and demands!

I have upgraded the firmware twice on the N-6600, but still the phone is so
insanely slow that it just irritates the living daylights out of me!! So I had to
sell it!!

I have had most Nokia-phones up the years and have had lots of problems with
them also.. The reason for me being critical to the Sendo X is because I have
high demands!

Hi, I have a few words to your comments, I'm an old N6600 new SendoX user like you. I still keep my 6600 to compare them more easily.

Firstly, the camera. Yes, its reddish when you start it but remember, in 6600 it was all white when you started the camera and you had waited for a second to see the image in the screen(at least in mine), you are waiting the same time even shorter in sendo for the reddish color to disappear. And I have to mention that Sendo is shooting a lot better in good light like daylight. With flash at dark, mine doesn't shoot reddish, its shooting like infrared nightshot video camera's, greenish white, very bright, I like this its like an effect 😊

There's no difference with the night and day modes 😞 Even in normal mode it goes to the night mode itself. I think the engineers noticed that because the night mode is in the end after the medium small largex2 mediumx2 smallx2 largex4 mediumx4 smallx4

But in this low shutter speed mode there's no colored dots in the photo. In my 6600 the night mode photos were ending with lots of these colored dots.

Its very faster than 6600. Last days which I used 6600 I was fed up with its turtlish processing speeds and going to throw it to the wall, it was very slow especially in messaging. While its very fast when browsing btw the menus, there's no need to browse through the menus since you can use the panes. I've created a pane for my mostly used applications. I don't even press the symbian menu button anymore 😊

For your memory card problem, try formatting your memory card in your Sendo after backing up your card for the images music etc. Mine was the same when I tried to use the mmc which I used in my 6600. After formatting it was completely normal.

Finally I want to add something after using 6600 for 8 months and having a lot of 6600 using friends, there's no dead pixels in Sendo's. My 6600 had 2, all my other friends' 6600's had dead pixels from 2 to 10. The lcd's of 6600's were very low quality

Just to say, I have had my X since September last year, got it as quick as I could.
Was disappointed with it out of the box cos of large expectations...

The firmware upgrade to 1.98 has fixed 99% of problems, and I am now very pleased with it.

The battery life issues, and occasional stuttering of ringtones sometimes occurs. But my phone is not a standard unit, it takes a hammering (I use nearly all features, memory, and install 3rd party apps...)

If I just used my phone like a "normal" person i have no doubt it would be great (Since the upgrade made it easily twice as fast in my opinion).

I think, even though it is a Smartphone, the thing to bear in mind is the same thing that i think about PC's:

From the factory, they generally work fine. When standard, they work fine. If you mod stuff, mess with stuff, change stuff. problems occur...

The phone is capable of many things, but I would advise simply using it for what you require. Nothing wrong with the odd 3rd party app (I use Handy Car and Handy File, and find them very useful), but be warned that Java Apps seem to really sap battery power (make sure that you close Java apps after use, or they will run in the background and use power).
Also, nothing wrong with using features of the phone (ie. synching with PC calendar etc, using all options).
Just be wary of trying to make it do too much. As impressive as it is, it's still a phone (not a PC) and should be treated as one.

I hope this has been useful, just my opinion on the matter...

I've just had this very same problem.

Upgraded the phone to the latest (Vodafone) firmware, and now everyone complains they cant hear me!

I'm returned it to Vodafone for a replacement, which is likely to be on the older firmware and thus have all the annoying problems.

Also still experienced the annoying beep when making calls, unable to answer calls by pressing the answer key, sparkling ringtones etc

I was very excited about the SendoX and waited 9 months past my contract expiry to upgrade to one, however I dont think I'll be getting another.

My trusty old 3 year old T68i still outperforms my X in terms of stability and speed.
