The little phone that goes really fast. That's what's most striking for Ewan in his preview of the Nokia 6630. With 3G starting to get some coverage from the major networks, it's time to see what Nokia can offer them in a Series 60 handset.
Ewan Previews the Nokia 6630
Nice preview. Can you post some pictures you made with the 6630? I'd like to see the quality of the camera...
I am having trouble viewing the review page, all I get it the allaboutsymbian banner and a Nokia advert at the top of the page, with my spyware scanner giving me an alert like it does with a lot of adverts. Is this page relient of the advert being downloaded correctly for viewing?
I have no problems with any of the other pages that I am interested in across the web.
Thanks Ewan, great short review, i just wish you went into detail, but still i'm buying the 6630 anyways 😊
i can't wait to read a review that describes the 3G features of the phone.
3 questions,
-if i use Opera web browser(or any other browser) would it run through 3G or are they written for GPRS only?(that would suck majorly)
-when is the 6630 expected to be released? my Nokia dealer says later this month or November. any idea?
-is the 6630 as thick as the 6600 or smaller?
thanks!
marwan
(1) Opera uses any net connection, GSM Dial Up, GPRS, 3G, etc. Relax on that point, Opera works on 3G.
(2) No idea - dependant on territory and network
(3) Substantivly the same size. There may be a mm or two but nothing so you'd notice.

also, did you get to test the camera? i noticed in phones like the 7610 the response time when taking a picture is so bad, you hit the button and the shot is taken 2 seconds later, which causes pics to be blurry at times since some users would move the cam right away.
ofcourse, now that i have a Sony Ericsson S700, that problem doesnt exist, since it's a CCD cam and takes pic "instantly"
so my question is, is the cam as quick as the S700 or slow like the 7610?
and last, would Symbian 7 application be compatible with Symbian 8?
thanks!
