Nobody seems to be selling 1GB RS-MMC yet. All the webshops I've seen only sell 512MB and also none of the manufacturer pages I've visited show 1GB. Do you have any pointers to manufacturers (even their name) that actually produce 1GB RS-MMC?
Even i have searched over net and find 512 the highest in RS MMC.I went to curry and makro they also told me that they have 512 as the highest. But Jazzy has said he has saw the 1Gb RSMMC in 7610. Can u put the pictures or the link for Getting 1 GB RSMMC.

Yup can verify that cos both my Kingmax and ATp cards don't work. 256 and 512MB cards...
Need to find a dual voltage card and there are a few but the biggest size is 64MB though still hunting around as Samsung and Pretec claim to have release up to 1G cards..
Hey,
New Dual Voltage rs mmc's will not arrive till end of January, possibly even Febuary 2005 from what I've read. Hence the 6630 is still a little limited at present, not due to the phone but it's memory requirements.
Samsung Electronics have just announced a full lineup of DV rs mmc's :-
http://www.yenra.com/dual-voltage-memory-card/
I'm one of the unlucky ones who brought an rs-mmc to use in their 6600 until the 6630 came out only to find out they don't work! Shame.

Hi!...
Pretec already launched and you can buy online the
Dual Voltage RSMMC cards.. up to 512 meg for US$100 😊 ...
http://www.pretec.com/OnlineSales/SSD/MMC/RedusedSizeMMC.htm
Totally compatible with Nokia 6630 ...

Friend,
I personally would not take the word of a site that quotes the 6630 accepting Reduced Size MMC ONLY when used with a Full Size Adapter.
They also quote the 6630 as taking Full Size MMCs!
Up in Tottenham Court Road one guy in one of the shops has a pre-release 6630 which ACCEPTS NORMAL RS MMC! -- tried it in my phone & no joy.
That leads me to believe that you can control the power supplied to the RS MMC VIA the Firmware.
Hey,
Yeah, well spotted mate.
From what I have read they are still not DV rs mmc's, operating voltages are still quoted as "Power Requirements: 2.7V to 3.6V".
Also on their list of fitments page as noted above, it's a little bit obvious they do not know the Nokia 6630 all that well as "Full Size" MMC cards are labelled to fit.
On the Nokia 6600 list above it "Full Size" MMC cards are not supposed to fit.
Think it's just a typing error, but I still do not see Dual Voltage mentioned.
Gotta keep looking.

there is the same topic /maximum size of RS-MMC,which can take/ and someone said, that he uses an 1GB card from Sirius/1.8V/ with Nokia 6630
that discussion is only in czech language 🙄 on www.mobilmania.cz in forum
Hi!..
this was the reply of Pretec about their cards... And someone at Nokia Service said that Pretec is one of the supported cards too...
look...
-------
Thank you for contacting Pretec.
According to the information I have, our RSMMC cards are based on the specifications of MMC4.0 and MMCMobile, which support dual voltages (1.65-1.95V & 2.7-3.6V). Our RSMMC should work with the Nokia 6630.
Please feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Subject: about RSMMC ...
Hi!..
i got a Nokia 6630 ...
this device use the DV (Dual Voltage) Reduced Size MMC memory cards...
Did you tested your RSMMC (256 or 512meg) on this phone?
are your RSMMC cards dual voltage work compatible? (3W and 1.8W)
thanks!
Alejandro
That means Pretec's MMC4 based cards actually works with retail 6630s ? Because they can work at 1.8v and at 3v ? Or is that just a bunch of rubbish and Pretec is lying?
Hi!..
i dont know... may be its tru ... may be not... thats why someone must
to buy one of that cards first and tell us his/her experience about it 😉 ...
Then everybody will buy that if its true of course that actually works on 6630 ..
cya!
