I believe it is the first 3G with UIQ from symbian...
Here in Portugal the cheapeast UIQ (not 3G) P800 cost 460� without contract.
I think A1000 for 499� is very cheap compared to P800, P900, etc...

The A920 was the first 3G WCDMA phone with UIQ/Symbian (unless the Fujitsu F2102V/F2051 in Japan appeared earlier).
